Analysis of ¹⁵N enriched ammonium sulfate samples using EA-IRMS
Enriched ¹⁵N isotope tracing provides a powerful approach for understanding how nitrogen moves through complex natural systems. By following the distribution of ¹⁵N, researchers can precisely investigate nitrogen uptake, transformation, and cycling in soils, plants, microorganisms, and biochemical pathways. This makes ¹⁵N analysis a valuable tool for studying the processes that govern nitrogen dynamics in biological and environmental systems.
In this data bulletin, we highlight how the analysis of isotopically enriched samples using Elementar EA-IRMS systems is relatively straight-forward and demonstrate typical performance by analyzing ¹⁵N enriched isotope ammonium sulfate samples.
